From "back surgery" Nash husband:
If it was me I would take the cross-shaft with seized-on bracket to a local small engineering firm or motor repair garage and ask their advice.
For not much money I think they could easily tap the shaft free using the right size copper drift, or even use a hydraulic press.This will almost certainly be the type of job they have seen many times before.KBO
