Here's the old bronze cast radiator and headlight bracket, cracked and worn.  Time to rewire the car- scroll down for another piece of house wire we found in the car.  

and a new pair pf Brackets from SBE fitted to the car .

we took apart the headlights , side lights and brackets

 

a dismantled front end to fit the new headlight support brackets and rewire the front end

a new loom with continuous wiring to all the bits that need it

we found some old DAT house wire in the car .... this was under the dash board and on the 1000miles in 2015 whilst in a village in France we used the horn and the windscreen wipers smoke came from under the dashbaord.... i isolated and JG doused me in extinguisher foam - the right thing to do of course..... This led us to do an emergency rewire

This is an ex Bugatti barrel solex carb fitted on the car in the late 50's when Alistair Pugh bought out a whole supply of them. 

Tarting up the mudguards June 2015

decided to take the mudguards off  to them to a body shop to get the holes reinforced and a bt of paint.  Ready for the new headlights being wired up.
