and from JB 'top fettler' "Its taken me 10 hours. 4 brackets bushed, welded sloppy brake end (very good repair, this was beggered!) , 2 new shafts all drilled and fitted up. The brackets were quite bent!!! So I have straightened them a lot. You may need to final tweek them when you bolt them to the car to get the shaft running free. Any tiny bit of bend left in will need taking out, but I'll describe a techique when we meet, ie bolt one side on, see where cross tube points, tweek it about, then fit the otherside, see direction tube points then tweek it etc. Tube (inc clutch cross tube) was about £15.00 had to order a full length (makes 8 pieces), but have kept remainder for my use. Bushing these has been a bit of a compromise, and very fiddley! It is exactly what I'd do if it were my car, I have to say but even though bushed and running free, remember they are still repaired/ straightened probably several times in their life brackets." thank you JB
