so how long has this fabric coupling been on the car...i feel very familiar with it , its definitely irritating to put in get out. The general consensus is its a little worn and need to be replaced. A new one of course is not off the shelf. There is Nash one but not like mine...

Your coupling is, according to the GMS diagram a standard coupling which will be shortly be back in stock with the spares section.
