clutch pedal movement due to a sloppy hole

I have taken the bracket that supports the pedal cross bar and it's worn.  There's wear on the bar and wear on the bracket.

so this is of the pedal cross bar using the Vernier (or very near as JB calls it) so 7/100ths less than an inch....

 

and here is the diameter of the worn bracket which is worn by 400/100ths

 so the suggestions is to have the bracket hole lined with steel by the 407/100ths.....

so need to go find someone locally to do that for me..... probably should check the otherside first.... wow this is dull isnt it?
