The main lack of progression is of course due to my inability to get the propshaft and clutch all aligned and working.
Consulted JB because the clutch is engaged but won't disengage and it's all looking all bit off centre.
See piccy below JB noticed that the toggle arms looked unevenly set up- ie either all of the worn ends of the arms should be facing one way or the other.
so changed the toggles around and all the post heights (i think that's what your supposed ot measure are the same).
Then remove the rag joint and wound out the centre bolt to engage the spigot and bearing properly but then it seams to have meant the clutch straps are under pressure
